To bring a different approach to teaching. It’s time to bring creativity and understanding to high school. Every adult learns differently and so do children. I know that I can breakdown the state standards in a way that students will retain the information.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOn my first day, I had a student say “I hate math.” Now, he can’t stay out of my classroom. He’s the first one to tell me good morning when I get to the school and the last one to say good night. He is also the most improved in math in the entire school.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would purchase content specific workbooks to accompany the textbooks for my students. I would also pay for my students to participate in the MAA Math Fest in Boston. Whatever is left I would use towards my student loans.
