I became a teacher because I had a pretty bad Kindergarten experience myself and I never want another child to experience that. I want to treat every child like I want my own children to be treated--with kindness, love, and respect. I have always had a soft spot and a love for children!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have been teaching Pre-K for 15 years. I would say my most memorable experience was winning our local WBBJ TV "teacher of the week" several years back. It was a very challenging year and I was surprised during the day with this award. It meant the absolute world to me.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would give a portion to my church, a portion to the Carl Perkins Center for Child Abuse and the remainder I would pay on my student loans.
