I was tutoring friends in photography and loved sharing my skills as much as doing them myself. God shouted to me that teaching was my path so I went back to school to be an Art teacher and I have never been happier!

Every moment watching my students grow into who they will become is memorable, but my most memorable moment is when a student I taught my first year, came back to me when he was a Senior and told me I was right, "We should always be our weird, unique self!" He said they always felt as if someone might judge them if when they were younger, but as he grew up that phrase never left him and always gave him courage. I still say it to my students daily.

I would pay off my students loans, fix a few minor things I haven't been able to afford at our house and put the rest in savings for my family's future.
