I adore being a SEAS teacher! I teach to help students feel seen, supported, and capable; academically and emotionally.

I became a teacher because of my special needs aunt and uncle. Watching them navigate a world that was not always designed for them shaped my heart and purpose. I am passionate about making learning accessible for all students and supporting those who struggle with behavior, ensuring they feel understood, valued, and capable of success.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was helping a student who struggled with behavior begin to believe in himself. After weeks of building trust and celebrating small wins, he completed his work independently and proudly said, “I did it right today.” That moment reminded me that teaching is not just about academics, it’s about helping students see their own potential.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use a portion of the $25,000 to go towards what I have for a down payment on a safe, stable home for my family. I would also pour back into my students by investing in classroom resources and supports to help them thrive; academically, socially, and emotionally.
