Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I truly love teaching and caring for children. Helping students learn, grow, and build confidence brings me so much joy. I enjoy creating a fun and supportive classroom where kids feel excited to learn and try their best. Growing up, I was always inspired by my teachers and the positive impact they had on my life. They encouraged me, supported me, and made learning meaningful, and that inspired me to want to do the same for my own students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of the most memorable parts of teaching is that every day brings a special moment. In first grade, I often see students go from feeling unsure to suddenly reading a word or solving a problem on their own. The excitement on their faces when they say, “I did it!” is unforgettable. Watching their confidence grow and knowing I helped guide them there reminds me why I love being a teacher. Those small victories each day are what make teaching so meaningful

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use it to create more engaging learning opportunities for my students. I would purchase classroom materials, books, and hands-on resources that support reading, writing, and math. I would also invest in technology and flexible seating to make the classroom more comfortable and interactive. Most importantly, I would use the funds to create meaningful experiences that inspire my students to love learning and feel confident in school.
