My high school math teacher, Mr. Lester, inspired and challenged me in several years of math courses. His teaching and humanity helped to cultivate my excitement for learning and understanding mathematics while helping others understand my knowledge along the way. I love how mathematics allows for multiple approaches to reach a conclusion, which really allows for proof in problem solving. I continue to grow in my understanding of being an educator and will always be a lifelong learner.

Learning a staff dance to "Don't Stop Believin" and performing it at an assembly, hearing students singing parts of the math parodies I sing to them in class at a later time, junior high girls basketball lock in, community support of the Run to Remember for my mentor teacher, singing telegrams that our high school choir performed for Valentine's day, getting to collaborate with my old high school math teacher at professional development, & when students get their aha moments and help out peers.

I would like to put money in CDs for all of my nieces and nephews and get each of my parents something impactful to show my gratitude of their support throughout my life. I'd like to offer a scholarship to a student in my district going into a mathematic education field. Personally, I'd get recording equipment for my math parodies, a 3D printer with supplies, & possibly upgrade my 2015 vehicle. I'd also love to travel with my husband and get training sessions for my three Australian Cattle Dogs.
