As a third-year 5th grade teacher, I love helping students grow, gain confidence, ask questions, and discover their potential!

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a positive difference in children’s lives. As a 5th grade teacher, I enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities and discover that they are capable of more than they think. Watching students grow academically and personally throughout the year is rewarding, and I love creating a classroom where every child feels supported, challenged, and valued.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was watching a student who struggled with confidence finally believe in themselves. Throughout the year, we worked on reading and writing skills, and they often doubted their abilities. By the end of the year, they proudly shared their work with the class. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I helped them reach that moment reminded me why teaching is so meaningful.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I received $25,000, I would use it to pay down debt so I could stop working multiple jobs outside of teaching. That would allow me to put more time, energy, and focus into my students and my classroom. I would be able to better prepare lessons, support individual student needs, and be more present for my students each day so they can have the best learning experience possible.
