I enjoy helping students learn how to engage with the natural world around them while learning how to think like a scientist.

I want our students to have the best opportunity to succeed in life and become excellent leaders within our community.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy 8th grade class was learning about chemical formulas and reactions when two of my students ask me to settle an argument. They were at the water fountain that had a large H2O symbol on its side. One asked me to tell the other that represented a molecule only while the other wanted me to agree it was both a molecule and a compound. I have never been more.
What would you do with the $25,000?My school is 61 years old, and my room is in disrepair. I have electric outlets that do not work, sinks that don't drain, no science tables, and a rather poor layout. I would use the $25,000 to remodel my room.
