I became a teacher because I wanted to help others discover their full potential. I love guiding new generations through the classics, helping them see the power of great stories and timeless ideas. Most of all, I want students to believe that with hard work, courage, and confidence in themselves, they can achieve anything they put their minds to.

To date, my most memorable moment in teaching has been watching students take initiative and go the extra mile on reports. When I taught Ancient Civilizations, I had a couple of students transform into Egyptian characters for their “daily life in Egypt” reports! It really showed me how interested the students were in that topic!

I would use some of the money to help grow my personal classroom library with more books that could help grow the youths desire to read. I would buy some supplies for mine and my wife’s classrooms to ensure our students have the tools needed to be successful in daily life as a student. Finally I would want to put some aside for my daughter’s future.
