Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I had great teachers that guided and mentored me through high school. I want to give back the same way that those teachers did for me. I especially enjoy working with kids that achieve something that they may have never done before.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

This past summer I had a number of former students reach out to me and thank me for helping them work their way through some of life’s toughest times for them. Many of them thanked me for never giving up on them, even when they were trying hard to not get back on track. They appreciated my support even when they had given up on themselves. There were multiple times when we would have to work hard on digging them out of their holes and getting them back on track.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would be used to help get me out of some debt that I may have accumulated and the rest of the money would be used to help bring about improvements to the Behavioral Academy that I am in charge of.
