Tell us why you became a teacher

Becoming a teacher was not something I originally planned for my career, but it turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. My journey into education was shaped by family inspiration, life circumstances, and a discovery of a passion I did not realize I had. One of the biggest influences in my decision to become a teacher was my brother. He has been a teacher for several years, and I have always admired the dedication he shows to his students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences happened during my first year in the classroom. As a new teacher, I was still learning how to manage a class, explain lessons clearly, and connect with my students. I wanted to do a good job, but like many first-year teachers, I sometimes wondered if I was really making a difference. In one of my classes, there was a student who struggled a lot with the subject. What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received $25,000, I would first take my family on a much-needed vacation so we could spend quality time together and create lasting memories. Life can be busy, and this would give us a chance to relax and reconnect. After the trip, I would place the remaining money into a savings account for my son’s education so he will have support and opportunities when he is ready to pursue his future goals.
