I became a teacher because education can change lives. My grandfather was an automotive teacher, and I loved hearing his stories about helping students learn and grow. His passion inspired me. Even as a child, I enjoyed teaching others—especially when I explained shells and ocean animals I found at the beach. Those experiences showed me how rewarding it is to share knowledge and help others understand new things.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA memorable moment in teaching is when former students return as teachers themselves and share that their decision was influenced by me. Hearing that I played a role in inspiring them to pursue education is incredibly meaningful. It shows that the impact of teaching goes far beyond a single classroom or school year. Knowing that my passion for learning and helping others encouraged them to do the same reminds me why teaching matters and how one teacher can influence future generations of student
