Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to make a lasting, positive impact on students' lives, driven by a passion for education and a desire to inspire, shape, and mentor future generations. Common motivators include a love to cut and paste! The joy of witnessing learning breakthroughs, and a desire to be a supportive figure. I can change lives in real time. I see the impact of my work not years later, but in the confidence on a student's face, and how they start to show up for themselves.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment involves profound breakthroughs, such as witnessing my students finally grasping a difficult concept, seeing the pride in their face when they learn to read, or observing a student overcome significant behavioral or academic challenges. Other impactful moments include witnessing students demonstrate empathy, passion, or initiative in community-focused projects. The "Aha!" Moment: The joy of watching a student finally understand a complex topic.
