I’ve love being a teacher! I have taught from preschool to high school for 40+ years—watching every child grow is my greatest joy.

I became a teacher because my own teachers saw potential in me and believed that I could make a difference. Their support inspired me, and it became my passion to help students realize their own potential so they, too, can make a difference in the world.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment was with a student who once struggled to read and do math and was preparing to go through the immigration process. He simply needed someone to believe in him and support him in reaching his goals. I am incredibly proud of how far he has come. We celebrated him and watched his ceremony together, making it a truly special and unforgettable day.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would pay off my college debt and continue my education by earning my master’s degree in Special Education so that I can better support my students and provide them with the skills they need to succeed.
