Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to make a difference in students early educational years. I want them to have a positive first experience as they enter a school for the first time.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Seeing the abilities shine when a student received a communication device. He was able to share all the knowledge that he had in his brain. We had no idea just how much he had hidden away until he was able to communicate through a device to with us. His confidence skyrocketed and we were overjoyed for him.

What would you do with the $25,000?

There is so much that could be done with that much money. My main goal is to obtain a doctoral degree in Education. With this prize money I could make that dream come true. There are so many things that I would love to add to my classroom for my students to help extend their hand in learning so I would do a complete classroom makeover!
