Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I’m passionate about helping others learn, grow, and believe in their potential. Seeing students gain confidence and experience those “aha” moments is incredibly rewarding. I love creating a supportive space where curiosity is encouraged and learning feels meaningful. Teaching allows me to make a positive impact and inspire others to keep exploring and improving.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching moments was helping a student who struggled with a concept finally understand it. After working through it step by step, their face lit up with an “aha!” moment. Their confidence instantly grew, and they started participating more in class. Seeing that shift—from frustration to excitement—reminded me why teaching is so meaningful.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would use it to launch a **Literacy Through the Arts** program that helps children improve reading, writing, and confidence through storytelling, drama, music, and creative expression. The funds would support curriculum materials, books, art supplies, teaching artists, and community workshops. The program would create engaging learning experiences that make literacy exciting while giving students a platform to express themselves and build lifelong academic skills.
