Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher after working at a juvenile detention center. I felt that I could positively impact students through education so they could understand their value to the world.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

At a former campus, I was asked to be model teacher for senior students studying to be educators through a district program. I felt honored to teach aspiring educators.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the money I would purchase equipment for my yearbook and journalism students. I would also take my students on much needed field trips to gain worldly exposure.
