Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to be a difference maker, change maker, day maker and hope giver. I wanted to make a difference in the world. I wanted to touch the hearts of others and found out that the efforts need to be collaborative with other staff, family and community key players and stake holders to see the difference. It is not about me and what I can do, but what we can do together. We are better together. We take care of one another. We have hope and confidence by turning to one another to brain storm.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There are many to count. Every day is a gift and brings satisfaction to our team. When students set goals and see themselves accomplishing them, the joy is felt greatly throughout the school team and family.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Pay off my graduate school debt from my master's when I studied Special Education at University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. This will help take care of that debt so I can focus on savings as my children and I can better embrace what the world has to offer, such as college for them, supporting other families during difficult times they way others have done for us and so on.
