Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher so that I could teacher the future leaders of the world. My teachers made a huge impact on my life when I was in school and I want to do the same for my students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when I was teaching my students about adding fractions and they were having trouble understanding it. I showed them a method that worked best for me when I learned fractions and it instantly clicked for them. It was amazing to see how it instantly flipped a switch and all the lightbulbs in their heads went off and they were able to understand what they were doing.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I got the money I would use it towards supplies and resources for my classroom, but I would also use it for things that could create a unique experience for my students to teach them new things they might never learn about otherwise. I am all about doing things hands on and getting students involved in their learning and getting the money would help me create these wonderful learning experiences for my students.
