Tell us why you became a teacher

I had some pretty amazing teachers in my life that inspired me to touch the lives of children just like they did mine.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

In october there is a unit called change is all around us and I used this unit to bring science to learning. We did things like elephant toothpaste and baking soda with vinegar to make balloons blow up. Each experiment was a learning experience for them and me everyday!!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay my car off and help my family pay off some bills with the rest. So I could go to part time and peruse my dream of becoming a teacher. With the hours I need to work to make my car payment and bills I don’t have much time for school or the money to be able to take time off. My family is also struggling because we lost two very important people this past year which is my grandma (Teddie) and step father in law (Dave).
