I became a teacher because I have always felt called to make a difference in children’s lives. Growing up as one of nine siblings, I naturally stepped into a nurturing role at a young age. Being surrounded by so many personalities taught me patience, leadership, and the importance of making every child feel seen and valued. Teaching allows me to carry that same heart into my classroom each day.

During my first year teaching, one of my most memorable experiences was working with a student who struggled with significant behavior challenges. I prioritized building trust and connection. Over time, that relationship changed everything. The student’s behavior improved, confidence grew, and academic progress followed. Watching them begin to participate, succeed, and feel proud of their learning reminded me that strong relationships truly transform students' lives.

If I won $25,000, I would use part of it to pay off personal debt and ease the financial stress. Having that stability would allow me to fully focus on my students and my growth as an educator. I would also invest in my classroom by providing resources that help every child feel successful, supported, and excited to learn each day.
