Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have always felt called to nurture children and create a safe space where mistakes become opportunities for growth. As the oldest child, guiding and supporting younger children came naturally to me, and I discovered a passion for helping others learn and succeed. Teaching allows me to lead with patience, encouragement, and care while empowering students to build confidence and reach their full potential.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was helping a student struggling at home and in school. She later returned to tell me I inspired her during her hardest times. Now, she’s on a path to help other youth, and knowing I played a part in her journey is a powerful reminder of why I teach.

What would you do with the $25,000?

First, I would love to give back to my school and/or students by paying for students that want to join a club, sport or fine arts that requires a fee. Then I would love to take a vaction with my family to thank them for supporting me each day to be best I can be for them and my students.
