Learn MoreI became a teacher because I wanted to positively impact students’ lives and help them see their potential. I love working with young learners and watching their thinking and understanding grow each day. Teaching first grade allows me to guide students as they build confidence, develop foundational skills, and discover the joy of learning in a safe and supportive classroom.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceLast year was my first year teaching, and building strong relationships with my students became one of the most meaningful parts of the experience. Even now, many of my former students come back to my classroom to read to my class, give hugs, or talk when they need someone. Knowing they see me as a safe and trusted person reminds me how powerful relationships are in helping students feel supported and ready to learn.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I received the $25,000, I would use it to create even more opportunities for my students. I would expand my classroom library, add engaging learning materials, and provide flexible seating that supports different learning needs. My goal would be to build a classroom environment where every student feels supported, comfortable, and excited to learn each day.
