I've been teaching for 3 years, but my students have helped shape the person I am today. I am blessed and want to give back to my students.

I had been working on the construction field for over 10 years as a journeyman carpenter. I took a position in a construction warehouse as the production manager. While there is trained and taught many of our employees who spoke little to no English. What an adventure! We accepted a contract with company called Oakmont Education to build wall panels for their new school. I actually helped their students build the new school and they extended an offer to come work and teach at the school
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moment was actually a very simple concept. I was teaching my students how to design and build their own ideas into a CAD program to 3D print. Once their design was ready to be downloaded and saved, I had one student who had no idea how to accomplish this. Once I taught her basic simple computer etiquette, the excitement in her eyes was the best feeling ever!
What would you do with the $25,000?The first thing I would do would be to have an amazing catered lunch for all of our students! We have alot of low income families/ students that go hungry thru the day! I would also love to buy amazing machines for my class room! I teach advanced Manufacturing so a CNC, lathe or mill would be a great investment for learning!
