Tell us why you became a teacher

Growing up I had teachers who were amazing role models. They helped me develop a thirst for knowledge and I always knew I wanted to do the same when I became an adult.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when my teammate and I had a group of kiddos who were last in reading and math in the district and were way below grade level. By the end of the year they were 1st in Math and 2nd in Reading! The sense of accomplishment on our students' faces made it all worth it!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would donate part of it to my school’s playground fund to help create a safe, fun space for students to grow and connect. As a teacher, I see how important outdoor play is for learning and well-being. I would also use some of the money to pay bills and reduce financial stress so I can stay focused on supporting my students.
