Raising five boys showed me every child learns differently. My late grandmother, a special education teacher, inspired my passion for early learning.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable experiences was working with a three-year-old in my classroom with autism. That child taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of meeting children where they are. Seeing small moments of progress—like communication, connection, or trying something new—was incredibly meaningful. It reminded me that every child learns at their own pace and deserves support, encouragement, and love.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I received the $25,000, I would invest it into my classroom by adding sensory materials, books, and hands-on learning tools for my toddlers. I would also continue my education to become a special education teacher so I can better support children with different needs. I would also take my husband and our five boys on a family vacation to make special memories together.
