Learn MoreI’ve loved kids for as long as I can remember, and even when I was young, I knew I wanted to be a mother. Teaching feels like part of who I am. I became a teacher to make a difference in children’s lives, to be a safe place and someone who helps them believe in themselves. Watching them grow brings me so much joy. It’s more than a job — it’s my calling.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moments aren’t just one big event, but a collection of small, meaningful ones. Teaching 3- and 4-year-olds, I often comfort little ones who miss their moms or are scared, and seeing them be able to relax with me is so special. I love it when I kneel beside them, ask about what they’re doing, and see their eyes light up. It’s those tiny moments that mean the most.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would pour much of it back into my classroom to give my students the tools and everyday resources they deserve. I would also help my mom, who has endlessly supported our growing family. Finally, I’d plan something special for my husband, my son Louie, and me. After years of sacrifice while my husband earned his degree, it would mean so much to simply enjoy time together.
