My entire life teachers have been there to open doors and encourage my imagination to dream. Education has always been tied to my idea of personal freedom, it is a revolutionary act to show commitment to life long learning and development.

My students participate in a variety of service learning opportunities to support events both on and off campus. This requires collaboration between the different grade level cohorts. It is beautiful to see Seniors, once also Freshmen, take on mentoring their underclassmen as they too were guided. Through this tradition I see the magic of the 4 years of leadership development in action, while also allowing them all an active role in serving the community that supports them.

Leadership Academy has students that work through challenging coursework, actively engage in extracurriculars and also provide extensive service learning in their community. The money received would go to supporting our program when it comes to transportation costs(when students are invited to college visits, guest speakers, conventions), supplies for our students projects, and events to celebrate and recognize our students(Senior Night, Stoles recognizing their participation)
