Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe early childhood is the foundation of a child’s future. I wanted to create a safe, loving space where children feel valued, confident, and excited to learn. As a Pre-K teacher, I have the opportunity to shape not only academic skills but also kindness, curiosity, and lifelong learning habits that stay with them forever.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was watching my Pre-K students grow from not recognizing letters to confidently writing their names and identifying all letters. Seeing their excitement and pride, especially during our learning celebrations, reminded me why I teach. Moments like these—when children believe in themselves—are truly unforgettable

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest in creating a rich, hands-on learning environment for my Pre-K students by adding literacy centers, math manipulatives, sensory materials, and dramatic play resources. I would also provide take-home learning kits for families to support learning at home. This funding would directly enhance student engagement, confidence, and early academic success.
