Prior to graduating high school in 1980, I received a Science and Math scholarship for B.S.E, which I maintained for four years by achieving high grades. Subsequently, I passed the Teacher’s Exam and proceeded to teach for 42 years.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

After my student struggled with the Science and Math subjects, resulting in a failing grade, I motivated her to attend classes consistently and fulfill her assignments. Through one-on-one tutoring after school, she eventually passed the exam with satisfactory marks. She appreciated the additional assistance I offered. Although it has been ten years, she continues to follow me on Facebook and interacts with the content I share. Presently, she works as a Psychologist and enjoys motherhood.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I aspire to make a positive impact on students in the Philippines by donating vital school supplies that will fuel their educational pursuits.
