Tell us why you became a teacher

I miss having children around. When my kids were growing up, their were kids always at my house. I have community parties at my home but the kids are getting older and the parties are getting bigger. I needed to be part of a community that wants to make learning fun for the kids.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I love incorporating fun into our lessons. Just recently the students had so much fun doing the water bottle flip for plotting data on plot lines. We used chalk to see how acid rain affects rocks. The students were able to see how warm air mixes with cold air through mixing colored water.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to pay a little debt that I have from starting teaching. Then I would use it to help pay for things I use in the classroom. I use my personal money to buy a lot of prizes and fun activities for the students. I have a portable whiteboard that I have been wanting that I would also buy for my classroom. I need $5000 to further my career as a teacher for a class.
