Tell us why you became a teacher

I started teaching because I believe children deserve to feel seen, supported, and inspired. I never grew up in that positive light so, I wanted to be a positive influence during their most important developmental years. Teaching allows me to nurture curiosity, build confidence, and partner with families to create a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I was in an accident, and the way my families came together to support me was a powerful teacher moment. Their prayers, messages, and help reminded me that teaching is more than lessons and routines—it’s relationships and community. In that moment, I realized the impact of the connections I build every day and how deeply we truly care for one another beyond the classroom.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I was hit by an uninsured drunk driver leaving me to pay a car loan so I would pay that off and the rest of the money I would poor into my classroom
