I didn't orginallly want to be a teacher! I love Spanish and young people so I wanted to share it! I have been teaching for 33 years and laugh about getting paid to have so much fun! Teaching is a hard job but I am never bored! I know I have made a impact on so many students, especially when continue taking Spanish beacause they want to learn and grow their language skills. The trips to Spain, Cuba and the Galápagos have bonded those student travelers with me for life! What an amazing gift!

Traveling abroad with students makes the most memoriable moments! Seeing a country I have visited many times through their eyes for the first time brings me joy! I once flew standby with 30 students because of a bus strike - we missed out flight because we didn't get to the airport in time! That was VERY memorable -- especially with the superintendent's daughter on the trip ! Fortunately I continue to travel! Teaching on 9/11 and during the pandemic round out memorable teaching!

Retire! Ha ha! No, I have a few more years to give! I would definitley use it for "treats" for my students and items for the classroom as most teachers do! I love to travel so the rest would go to a fabulous trip on my bucket list or to building materials for our many construction projects on our lake island in Northern Minnesota! That is is my happy place and rejuvenates me to continue teaching!
