Tell us why you became a teacher

Becoming a teacher has never felt like a single decision to me; rather, it has been a gradual realization shaped by my experiences, values, and the people who influenced my life. At its core, my desire to become a teacher comes from a deep belief in the transformative power of education. I have always seen education not simply as a pathway to a career, but as a foundation for confidence, critical thinking, and opportunity. I want to be the kind of person who helps build that foundation.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Taking my kindergarten students to the museum of natural history for the first time was a moment I will always treasure. As a teacher, you plan lessons, read stories, and organize activities every day—but some experiences rise above the ordinary. This was one of them. It was not just a field trip; it was a day of wide eyes, curious questions, tiny hands tugging at sleeves, and the pure magic of discovery. From the moment we stepped off the bus, the children could hardly contain their excitement

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning $25,000 would be a tremendous blessing in my life, both personally and professionally. As a teacher, I am deeply committed to my students and my community, but like many educators, I also carry financial responsibilities—especially student loans. If I were fortunate enough to win $25,000, I would use the money thoughtfully and responsibly to create greater financial stability, invest in my classroom, and plan for the future. I would also invest some of the money directly into my class.
