Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I very professionally begins in a classroom. Doctors, lawyers, firefighters, artists -each one was shaped by a teacher. I wanted to be the person that sparks curiosity and helps shape their minds for the future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was getting pies in front of the school along side fellow teachers. I got to choose the kid that pied me. I chose a kid that needed a pick me up. A kid that was always chose last. That kid wrote me a letter later and told me how that was their best memory of the year. It makes me happy that I had a positive impact on them.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I win, I would use some of the money to purchase flexible seating and new supplies fr my classroom. I'd like to pay off some of my student loans and possibly go back to school to earn a specialist degree in education.
