I love seeing that moment when the material clicks for my students. I love getting to see the kids grow up and getting to be there for them!

I became a teacher because I wanted to share my love of science and health with others, and inspire that same passion in my students. I wanted to be that one teacher that you never forget. The one that always believes in you, the one who always shows up and never stops caring. I wanted to be the teacher who drove their students to want to become educators some day.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI think that the most memorable part of my teaching experience was the day that classroom management clicked for me. I swear that everything shifted that day. The day that I stopped holding on so much to needing to be strict and having everything in order , and deciding to just be the teacher that I would have wanted when I was a kid. To mold my classroom to the kids instead of molding my kids to the classroom. That day has changed everything for me. Figuring that out has helped me to be better.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would try to open a health science program with my middle school, and get my health science teacher certification. I would try to get more lab supplies for my kids and just all around things to help make my curriculum shine. I would also use that money to establish a health products/ school supplies bin for my kids so that they always have everything that they need.
