I was seeking a way to impact my community for the better, after a short career in medicine, I realized that may be through education. Much like my mother and grandfather, I quickly fell in love with teaching and being a beacon for children.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceAs a second year teacher I can honestly say I have experienced more than I ever thought I would in such a short time. However, my most memorable one didn’t come from the classroom. At graduation last May, I had one of my students approach me to tell me that by being there to listen to him everyday, got him to graduation when every one else told him he couldn’t.
What would you do with the $25,000?Forsyth Central is over 70 years old and one of the oldest high schools in Georgia. It is in desperate need of new labs and facilities to increase student growth. So, I would use it to improve the school that gave a lost 25 year old a chance to do what I have always wanted.
