Tell us why you became a teacher

Because of another teacher . I had an extraordinary teacher in first grade. She was full of love and patience. I have never forgotten her.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

When I was teaching in a bilingual school, I had a very challenging student. He was in second grade, and I could see his growth through the school year, and specially at the end of it. Some students just need to be loved, heard and understood.

What would you do with the $25,000?

WOW, that would be great if I win. I would pay my debts. The last two years have been challenging, I was asked for a divorced (out of the blue) and my mom passed in July of 2025. I am learning how to re- live. And OF COURSE, I will celebrate with my students (if school permits it) . Thank you for letting me express the whole world how much I enjoy my profession. Amelia C.
