I love teaching—it’s rewarding and humbling. I admire the little humans I pour into each day as they pour into me.

I became a teacher because I wanted to impact the world in a positive way. Little did I know teaching would impact me. I’ve begun to see how much children need good people to oversee them, encourage them, and show the them that there’s more to life.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moment was when I had a student who was seen defiant. He’d listen to no one but me. His demeanor began to change, his attitude and will to listen—changed. At that moment I knew teaching was beyond just content. It’s character building, seeing the ones who feel unseen and pouring into the next generation.
What would you do with the $25,000?Honestly, I’d pay tithes. Ten percent would go to the Lord first. After that I’d pay part of my mortgage, credit card debt and missed payments from student loans. Once my necessities are paid, I would love to start taking care of my daughter and I. I need dental work. She needs clothing for school and sports. The money would allow me to stop worrying about the things I currently cannot afford.
