Tell us why you became a teacher

Teaching has been my passion since I was young. From helping my nieces and nephews with homework to serving as a teacher aide in high school, I have always been drawn to learning alongside others. These early experiences confirmed my desire to become an educator and my commitment to helping students grow, discover their strengths, and reach their full potential.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My mom memorable teaching experience isn't a single moment, but the collective impact of the past five years. I have helped shape my school by creating programs such as a STEM, gifted education, student savings, and an affordable spring athletic program. Seeing students gain access, confidence, and opportunities through these programs has been incredibly meaningful ad continues to motivate me to build pathways for students to thrive and excel.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were awarded $25,000, I would reinvest it into expanding the programs I have created, especially STEM. As a newer program, it needs additional science and technology resources such as 3D printers, robotics kits, microscopes, and hands-on tools. These resources would enhance learning, spark curiosity, and create more opportunities for students to explore, innovate, and grow.
