I became a teacher because my 4th grade teacher changed what I thought about school. I learned to love learning and wanted to foster that love of learning on my own.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI will always remember my first year teaching and how excited I was to be able to have a classroom of my own. Watching those 28 fourth graders learn and try new things made my heart so happy. I also enjoyed going on an overnight camping trip with my students and seeing them experience s'mores, sleepovers, being in the water kayaking and much more for the first time.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to use the money to put towards getting my administrative certificate to expand my learning. I would also like to celebrate with my students and get some materials for my classroom that will allow for flexible seating and engaging math lessons.
