Learn MoreI always wanted to be a teacher but when I became a para in a school, I realized I couldn't write lesson plans for a class everyday. So I figured out, if I couldn't be in the classroom, then I'll figure out another way. That's when I became a librarian, to be near kids but not write as many lesson plans.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEveryday is one. I always enjoy being around the students. Helping students find books that are interesting to them is what I love to see.
What would you do with the $25,000?We are a first grade-fifth grade schoool. Next year we will be a k-5th grade school. I would use it for our students. Getting new furniture for them in my library, new books and maybe giving the teachers new books for their classrooms.
