I come from a family of educators and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I love wotking with and being around young children. Their imaginations, resilience, and outlook on life amazes me. I learn as much or more from them as they do from me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy first year teaching, I had a student who was removed from the home due to abuse. She was really struggling to bond with any adults. I didn't think that I had reached her until her last day of school. She and her guardians were moving. As she was leaving, she hugged me and said "I will always love you." Eighteen years later, she found me on FaceBook. She wanted to tell me thank you for everything I had done for her and that she had never fogotten me. I had always wondered how she was doing.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have a daughter in college and I would use it to help with her expenses.
