Learn MoreI became a teacher because it's been my dream job since I was 5 years old. My kindergarten teacher asked me, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and my answer just never changed. I love the feeling of accomplishment my job gives me, and feeling as if I'm truly impacting the lives of the students in my classroom. My work feels important and needed.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000, I would use it to fund the IVF journey my husband and I are currently on. We just started our first cycle of IVF after a failed round of IUI. IVF is our only option to have a baby, as my husband was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2023 and underwent 5 rounds of chemotherapy over the course of his treatment. He is CANCER-FREE today, but the chemo caused infertility. Our insurance does not cover infertility, and we've already spent over $20,000 out of pocket.
