Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI was a permanent substitute for 9 years, ten years ago. I quit, subbing and school, when I had my oldest child in 2014. Still with the dream of becoming a teacher and with the drive and determination to finish, I went back to school and slowly chipped away. Over the past 10 years, I had two more kids, did homeschool and daycare, and finally finished my schooling. I graduated and got hired with my preferred district at a preferred school, all in the same month! Living the dream!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would purchase math manipulatives, group tables and flexible seating options, more books and better lighting, further my education and endorsements, and use any remaining to help with repairs for our townhome so we can sell and buy our forever home. I’ve been working and dreaming for years to help provide this for my family. This would add a layer of comfort, safety and security, that would benefit my family, career, and every student I have the privilege to impact.
