I wanted to teach special education and be the teacher that supports them through their transition into adulthood. I want to help them continue to grow and develop in academic and life skills.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI remember being apart of an IEP for one of my students and his mom telling me the work I have done in the last year is more than she could ever imagined. She said his growth socially, talking more, and wanting to come to school has changed her and his life for the better.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would help my department have more inclusive clubs, sports, and events for special education throughout the year. I want to give my department the best opportunity so we can give the students the best opportunities throughout their time at this school.
