Tell us why you became a teacher

When I was younger I always had the best teachers and coaches! I enjoyed coming to school because of the people I was surrounded by. I wanted to be a part of that community and hopefully make kids feel as good about school and themselves as my teachers made me feel.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable teaching experience I had was at the end of my very first year. My students families sent pictures from the school year and we watched the slideshow multiple times. The kids and maybe myself let go of a few tears that day.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m currently looking at the possibility of purchasing a home and this money would go correctly to the down payment. If we decide to wait a year or two on the house, it would go towards paying for my masters degree!
