Tell us why you became a teacher

I didn’t set out to become a teacher, it truly found me. As a stay-at-home mom, an unexpected opportunity to step into the classroom changed my path. What began as a new chapter quickly became a calling. Guiding students as they build knowledge, confidence, and direction has been an incredible privilege. Every child deserves someone who believes in their potential, and I’m grateful to play a small role in their journey toward success.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moments in teaching are when a lesson finally clicks. You can see the shift; the confusion fades, their eyes light up, and frustration turns into pride. Watching a student move from doubt to understanding, from discouragement to confidence, is incredibly rewarding. Those small breakthroughs are what bring me the greatest joy and remind me why I love what I do.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in the future of both my family and my students. A portion would go toward paying down student loans and building college funds for my children, creating greater stability for our future. The rest would be used to enhance my classroom and help provide resources for students who may not have much, ensuring they have the support and opportunities they deserve.
