Tell us why you became a teacher

To bring joy to the little children in my classroom. Seeing how the world turns through the eyes of children and the way that they enjoy learning about the world around them is such an honor to watch. Ever since I was a child, I always knew that teaching was what I wanted to do when I grew up. All my teachers were my inspiration in becoming a teacher.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Everyday is a memorable experience because each brings new adventures and experiences with the children that I am with. Watching all the lessons that the children learn and the “lightbulb” go off when they start realizing and putting the connections together on what each lesson means and how they can apply these lessons to daily tasks.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Put back into my classroom as well as pay down student loans. I am envisioning on creating a more educational, inclusive, and enjoyable classroom experience for each child that steps into my classroom as well as potential families to enroll. I want to be able to give back to the children and myself all the hard work and dedication that each child deserves. With leftover money, I would put it into a bank account only for use to go towards the classroom for any supplies or toys that we could use.
