I became a teacher (specifically English) because of my high school English teacher who showed me that she believed in my ability when not many people did. I wanted to give young people the same hope.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne memory that stands out is my first year as a teacher and the solar eclipse happened. Kids who I never thought would be interested in anything like that, had the most amazing time.
What would you do with the $25,000?If the $25,000 is for my school, I would donate it to assist with furthering the mission of my school, RISE Academy. If it is for me, I’d pay down my student loans and also take my son on a really nice graduation trip.
